δύναμις is used ten times in Acts. Three times (2:22; 8:13; 19:11) it means miracles; three times it is used of the power that effects miracles (3:12; 4:7; probably 10:38). Twice it refers to the power with which the apostles (4:33) and Stephen (6:8) do what they have to do—speaking and, probably, working miracles. At 8:10 Simon the Magus is said to be ἡ δύναμις τοῦ θεοῦ ἡ καλουμένη μεγάλη. This last reference contributes nothing, but the others may be added up to give the sense of δύναμις
